Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as primary contact for academic staff involved in delivering research programmes, providing guidance, resolving queries, and delegating/escalating as needed.
  • •Lead complex administrative tasks for postgraduate research programmes, including welcome/induction, attendance monitoring, timetabling, funding, examinations, progression, and graduation.
  • •Plan, organise, maintain, and deliver activities to support successful delivery of PhD programmes, supervising workload of others where necessary.
  • •Prepare and deliver management and institutional reports, including pulling information from multiple sources and working with complex data sets.
  • •Support quality assurance through audits and compliance reporting, propose solutions, and develop and deliver remedial action plans.

Salary: GBP 30,062 - 31,800

Key Requirements

  • •Substantial professional experience in a variety of similar roles.
  • •GCSEs (grade C/4 or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • •A levels or equivalent level 3 qualification (e.g., Level 3 NVQ or level 3 national diploma).
  • •Able to work autonomously on complex systems and proactively propose new ways of working.
  • •Experience using and maintaining complex work systems (e.g., student databases/record systems or equivalent).
