Job Summary

Lead the bank’s data-quality stream for CDO-defined data capabilities, driving end-to-end delivery of critical data element (CDE) metadata and documented controls. Manage a core stream team, engage and negotiate with CDOs and senior stakeholders, and govern ingestion, validation, and sign-off into a central metadata inventory. Establish governance and remediation processes, while building Power BI progress-monitoring dashboards and producing audit-ready BCBS239 compliance evidence.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, prioritise, and drive delivery of CDE metadata and data-quality control documentation across global business and functional areas, managing milestones, dependencies, SLAs, and delivery gates.
•Directly line-manage and mentor a core stream team (5+ direct reports) including PMs, data analysts, SMEs, and contractors; set objectives and coach resources.
•Engage and negotiate with CDOs and senior stakeholders across major business lines and partner functions; run workshops, working groups, and steering forums to secure decisions and commitments.
•Govern ingestion, validation, and sign-off of metadata and documented controls into the central metadata inventory to ensure regulator-grade artefacts and traceability.
•Establish governance forums and QA/remediation processes (RAID, decision logs) and provide escalation with recommended mitigations; lead business-facing change, training, and communications; build Power BI progress-monitoring dashboards and regulatory readiness reports.

Key Requirements

•8+ years delivering large-scale change/programmes in banking or financial services, with direct experience in data programmes or regulatory remediation (BCBS239 strongly preferred).

•Intermediate Power BI skills including data modelling, DAX, and ETL validation/automation, producing audit-grade dashboards.
•Practical knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data-quality frameworks, data lineage, and CDEs.
