Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide round-the-clock NICU care for premature and sick newborns, including monitoring vital signs, feeding support, hygiene, and kangaroo care.
  • •Perform and support procedures including IV line insertion, venepuncture/capillary sampling, and feeding/other tube-related interventions (e.g., nasogastric/orogastric tubes, gastric wash).
  • •Handle central lines (e.g., umbilical/long lines) using proper aseptic techniques and perform arterial line blood sampling.
  • •Review physician-ordered medications for appropriateness, prepare medications under aseptic technique, and administer medications.
  • •Support parents with reassurance and education, update parents with accurate information, and help educate on at-home care for newborns.

Key Requirements

  • •UAE Medical Health Authority (DHA) license.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in nursing (minimum two-year nursing program) and registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, or Australia.
  • •At least 2 years of hospital or similar setting experience.
  • •Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • •Demonstrable ongoing CPD and strong patient care, communication, and problem-solving skills.
