Job Summary

Own end-to-end production scheduling and backlog management for large, custom control valve manufacturing. Maintain a valid master schedule using material availability, capacity, customer/market demand, and financial commitments. Manage inventory reporting, quote delivery to Customer Service, and planning for “Buy and Make” parts across the value stream. Use Oracle to plan and promise assembly orders, coordinate work orders and purchase orders, and drive lean improvements using Kanbans, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and 5S.

•Manage all aspects of the backlog, including total backlog, late backlog, and lead time.
•Maintain a master schedule that is valid based on material availability, resource capacity, customer/market demands, and financial commitments.
•Handle inventory management and reporting, and set up planning parameters for new parts and process workflows.
•Use Oracle to plan and promise assembly orders, including coordinating work orders and purchase orders to meet customer request dates.
•Coordinate buy-and-make planning, forecasting, and actions to align supply and demand; support lean implementation across the value stream using tools like Kanbans, Kaizen, and 5S.

Key Requirements

•2-year college degree; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
•In-depth understanding of Master Product Schedule (MPS), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), and MRPII, plus manufacturing business systems.
•Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools.
•Solid computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.
•Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills, with effective verbal and written communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
