Key Responsibilities

  • •Own civil and site design for the battery storage plant, including pads, foundations, grading, drainage, access roads, fire lanes, and equipment yards.
  • •Support fire and life-safety case with civil provisions such as water supply, hydrant layout, deflagration venting clearances, and emergency vehicle access.
  • •Coordinate seismic and severe-weather structural design basis for storage blocks, transformers, and equipment supports.
  • •Produce issued-for-construction civil packages (site plans, sections, details, specs) and provide bid support.
  • •Resolve construction RFIs/submittals and installation quality issues, coordinate civil interfaces for duct banks/containment/grounding, and maintain as-built civil records.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or another engineering discipline.
  • •3+ years of civil or structural design experience on industrial, energy, or data center sites.
  • •Professional Engineering (PE) license or intention to actively seek a PE license.
  • •Experience defending a design to an authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
  • •Ability to perform hands-on work in harsh environments, including extended hours/weekends as needed for construction and operations.
