Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement a finance data platform supporting revenue recognition, consumption-based billing, and financial reporting across batch and real-time workloads using Kafka and streaming technologies.
  • •Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and RevOps to translate reporting and forecasting requirements into scalable architecture that meets deadlines and audit cycles.
  • •Define and maintain ingestion/transformation/storage guidelines emphasizing auditability, lineage, and data integrity, and oversee data modeling, ETL, and warehousing using ClickHouse, Tinybird, and Snowflake.
  • •Develop end-to-end finance data stack solutions, set engineering standards for correctness and reliability, and mentor engineers on technical craft and domain rigor.
  • •Work with Security, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit to meet SOX/SOC 2 and other regulatory requirements, driving monitoring, alerting, and incident response while balancing scalability and fault tolerance.

Key Requirements

  • •Preferred Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 8+ years of experience in data engineering/data architecture roles including at least 2 years at the Staff/Principal/Lead level.
  • •Proven experience designing and operating large-scale data infrastructures using Kafka (including Kafka Streams/Confluent Platform), ClickHouse, Tinybird, Snowflake, and broader big data frameworks.
  • •Experience building data pipelines that feed financial reporting, revenue recognition, billing, or consumption-based pricing models; familiarity with ERP/billing systems such as NetSuite or Workday is a plus.
  • •Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and associated big data services.
  • •Strong background in data governance, security, and compliance with hands-on experience supporting SOX/SOC 2 requirements, auditability, lineage, and data accuracy.
