Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide overall on-site administrative and technical Quality Management for construction activities associated with dams.
  • •Organize and direct construction Quality Control inspections and related activities for assigned area(s) of responsibility, including multi-area or multi-discipline water construction projects.
  • •Coordinate and interact with inspectors as the primary contact, and coordinate with client resident representatives on jobsite quality inspection functions.
  • •Ensure installation and construction activities comply with design/specifications and industry quality standards; implement and maintain the Quality Program to ensure conformance with contract drawings and referenced quality standards.
  • •Oversee final inspections and punchlist completion, manage deficient/noncompliant closeouts and maintain the Quality Trend log, and prepare monthly reports on completed quality control activities and concerns.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 8 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Relevant experience with dam projects, including inspection, rehabilitation, and/or new design and construction.
  • •Experience performing inspection, design, and/or engineering activities in dams or water retaining structures.
  • •Preferred: 10 years or more of experience with dam projects (inspection, rehabilitation, or new design and construction).
  • •Bilingual English and Spanish; strong interpersonal skills for staff supervision, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
