Job Summary

Teach general faculty subjects and at least two areas within the Applied Media (Digital Media) program/discipline to second-language learners in a student-centered environment. Deliver practical, applied instruction using educational technology resources, provide continuous feedback and assessments, and advise students. Contribute to curriculum and course evaluations, conduct applied research aligned to the division and innovation agenda, and participate in academic, extracurricular, and committee activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Contribute to implementation of HCT’s system-wide strategy and assist with development/preservation of system-wide and faculty/division policies.
•Teach courses aligned with syllabus and program goals using educational technology and a student-centered, second-language learning approach.
•Assess student learning by providing continuous feedback, monitoring progress, updating grades, and contributing to question banks/coursework assessments.
•Serve as a student advisor, support at-risk action plans, mentor students during internships/work placements, and maintain regular office hours.
•Conduct applied research aligned to faculty interests and the national innovation agenda, participate in conferences, and serve on committees and student-group activities.

Key Requirements

•A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required where applicable.
•Or a Master’s degree plus a professional certification relevant to the discipline with 5 years of teaching and industry experience.
•Or a Bachelor’s degree may be considered for candidates with extensive industry experience and industry certification as per discipline requirements.
•Minimum 3 years teaching experience in the relevant discipline.
•Experience developing course curriculum aligned with accreditation/international standards and incorporating educational technology into instructional strategies.
