Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document work by completing repair orders and DOT forms, including uploading photos and findings using the company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education/certification and experience).
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • •Able to complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •At least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
