Key Responsibilities

•Lead the technical outcomes for a team of engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure their success.
•Partner with our recruiting team to attract and hire top talent.
•Deliver cutting-edge data pipelines that scale to users' needs, focusing on reliability and efficiency.
•Develop subject matter expertise and manage the SLAs of data pipelines and full-stack web applications supporting critical stakeholders.
•Collaborate with product managers and peers to create/improve canonical datasets and data warehouses, ensuring trustworthy data for Stripe and customers.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of experience building and operating data systems, pipelines, warehouses, and leading teams to deliver solutions.
•Backend development experience in Scala, Java, or Go with strong SQL experience.
•Experience writing and debugging data pipelines using a distributed data framework.
•Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work with product, leaders, and other Stripe engineers to understand use cases.
•Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments and foster an inclusive, high-performing team environment.
