Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide bespoke business rates advice to commercial sector clients.
  • •Partner with the Strategic Growth Director to grow and further develop the client base across different operations.
  • •Manage and grow your own client base and case load, taking on increased responsibility as experience grows.
  • •Develop and implement rates savings strategies via appeals and mitigation, building relationships with new and existing clients.
  • •Conduct site visits as required and collaborate with key WSP team members across the wider network.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in Business Rates is essential.
  • •Excellent knowledge of the UK rating market and detailed understanding of rating legislation and case law.
  • •Knowledge and experience of a range of sector valuations for Rating purposes.
  • •Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to build business relationships.
  • •MRICS qualification; good general surveying and inspection skills (proficiency with Word, Excel, and MS Outlook; experience with Analyse is beneficial).
