Job Summary

Role focuses on enabling EM extraction technology for foundry PDK and design service teams, delivering signoff-ready on-chip electromagnetic modeling solutions using Cadence EMX. You’ll work on EM modeling assumptions for BEOL interconnects, frequency-dependent extraction, and integration with downstream signoff tools across advanced nodes and large-scale SoCs.

Key Responsibilities

•Support EMX-based electromagnetic extraction reference flows for both foundry PDK and design service teams.
•Collaborate with foundries to define EM modeling assumptions for BEOL interconnects, vias, MIM caps, inductors, and advanced features.
•Assist in frequency-dependent R/L/C extraction, mutual coupling, and EM accuracy correlation.
•Enable EMX usage for foundry qualification flows supporting SI, PI, IR‑drop, and EM signoff.
•Ensure consistency between EMX models and downstream signoff tools (Quantus, Voltus, Tempus) and validate settings against silicon data.

Key Requirements

•EMX-based electromagnetic modeling experience or exposure to EM extraction methodology
•Experience with BEOL interconnects, vias, MIM caps, inductors, and advanced process features
•Knowledge of frequency-dependent R/L/C extraction, mutual coupling, and EM accuracy correlation
•Experience enabling models and flows for SI, PI, IR-drop, and EM signoff processes
•Ability to validate EMX settings against silicon data, reference designs, and correlation targets
