Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead cost-out events and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • •Apply Lean-Manufacturing and Six Sigma to eliminate waste and reduce process variation.
  • •Participate in concurrent engineering efforts and critical design reviews to minimize development costs and maximize product useful life.
  • •Conduct design for manufacturing and value engineering initiatives as applicable.
  • •Develop work breakdown structures, support new product development with program management tools, and create capital appropriation requests with payback and NPV analysis for equipment acquisition.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •Be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • •Must be a U.S. person under ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
  • •No relocation is offered; candidates must currently reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA (Active-Duty Military exempt from the geographic limit).
  • •Preferred: prior experience; 2+ years of factory floor experience; experience with Lean/continuous improvement, root cause problem solving, developing assembly processes/routings/work instructions, or aerospace industry experience.
