Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead preparation of UOP Basic Mechanical engineering design packages and detail design of propriety internals (Sch A design) for supported technologies.
  • •Handle complex design problems, check/co-ordinate technology development, and coach others to resolve issues.
  • •Own infrastructure and lead mechanical development and digitization of new tools, work processes, and software supporting UOP technologies and equipment.
  • •Improve mechanical design capability by developing/enhancing technical policies, procedures, tools, and standards.
  • •Support project execution and troubleshooting by completing required design/analysis/specifications and performing FEA/FFS/CFD analyses; provide training to internal and external customers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • •Minimum 12 years of relevant industry experience
  • •Experience designing and specifying reactor systems across a broad range of process technologies
  • •Working knowledge of ASME pressure vessel and piping codes, API practices, and UOP standards
  • •Ability to go from initial concept to design specifications/drawings and equipment requisitions for pressure vessels, internals, and piping components
