Key Responsibilities

  • •Define optical interconnect and switch/router deployment use cases and architectures across product generations and configurations, educating Sales Engineering on deployment setups.
  • •Create and maintain application notes, white papers, and internal/external documentation for Data Center, ML/AI, and scalable deployment scenarios; build web-based tools for valid configurations.
  • •Support conference demonstrations by working with PLM/engineering on configurations, logistics, and materials, and attending as needed.
  • •Write and maintain Python-based code to automate test flows, control lab instruments, and log results at scale.
  • •Set up and run optical/electrical tests, validate single- and multi-span DWDM systems, analyze test data to troubleshoot failures, and develop procedures/troubleshooting/onboarding documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •5 years’ experience with optical networking and DWDM design and deployment.
  • •Strong understanding of DWDM signal propagation/simulation and multi-span amplified systems.
  • •Strong practical knowledge of Ethernet, DWDM, and coherent optical technologies.
  • •Hands-on experience with optical test equipment (e.g., OTDR, OSA, BERT, optical power meters, oscilloscopes) with solid troubleshooting skills.
  • •Experience with traffic generators and network protocol analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Ixia, Spirent) and scripting/testing (e.g., Python, TCL) for NPI.
