Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise telecoms & security pre-commissioning activities and the commissioning of equipment within area of responsibility.
  • •Verify functional commissioning of telecom and security systems (PAGA, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Telephone/VoIP, Radio).
  • •Coordinate commissioning of telecom network infrastructure and system integration with plant control networks.
  • •Coordinate with Telecom System Integrator, equipment manufacturers and vendors to support pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities, including review of procedures and Site Acceptance Tests.
  • •Ensure PTW and job safety analysis for telecoms & security commissioning activities; supervise materials, equipment and personnel.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma in engineering or similar.
  • •Minimum 5 years’ experience within a contractor organisation as a commissioning telecoms & security supervisor / specialist.
  • •Pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up experience on at least 3 major EPC projects in the refinery, oil and gas industry.
  • •Experience with telecoms & security systems such as Fibre Optic network, Cyber Security, Data Network, Safety systems (PAGA, CCTV, etc.), Security (Perimeter, Intrusion Detection, Access Control, etc.).
  • •Familiarity with telecom test equipment and commissioning tools including fibre optic testing equipment (OTDR and fibre certification tools), radio communication test equipment, and network testing tools for LAN infrastructure validation.
