Job Summary

Set up and operate production welding equipment to perform MIG, TIG, gas welding, brazing, and resistance spot/projection welding while meeting strict weld quality and tolerance requirements. Read and interpret engineering drawings, select tooling/fixtures, perform measurements and basic shop math, and maintain accurate routine paperwork. Perform operator preventive maintenance, follow safety and housekeeping standards, and inspect components to reject defects for reduced rework.

•Perform a wide variety of welding and sheet metal fabrication tasks, including MIG/TIG welding, gas welding and brazing, and resistance spot/projection welding.
•Set up and operate production machines and tools, select tooling/fixtures, and adjust equipment to produce quality welds.
•Inspect and evaluate components, reject defective items, and ensure parts meet close tolerance requirements.
•Perform operator preventive maintenance on welding equipment and notify leaders of issues.
•Follow safety and housekeeping requirements, including proper PPE use and safe lifting practices.

•Maintain regular attendance and work safely in a plant environment, including lifting up to 75 lbs. (with assistance as needed).
