Key Responsibilities

  • •Work in production for the tube and core division under the shift supervisor, maintaining quick and safe operations.
  • •Collaborate with other departments and teams while thinking on your feet to troubleshoot problems.
  • •Make incremental process adjustments and monitor and report quality of manufactured product.
  • •Learn to set up new jobs and train on other lines and in other departments.
  • •Perform duties as designated by supervisor/manager and support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies; downtime includes cleaning and straightening time.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 1 year in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
  • •Ability to work safely and maintain a safe, clean, organized work area.
  • •Ability to spot defects in the packing line and understand manufacturing instructions.
  • •Can lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive duties for long periods, including stairs.
  • •Previously held a Forklift Certification and can safely operate a forklift.
