Key Responsibilities

  • •Pitch, report, and produce high-impact daily news spots, contextual enterprise pieces, and investigative stories on the Department of Justice, immigration enforcement, and federal legal policy.
  • •Cultivate and maintain diverse, reliable source networks across government agencies, legal institutions, advocacy organizations, and impacted communities.
  • •Analyze complex court filings, regulatory decisions, and legislative proposals to deliver accurate, timely explanatory journalism.
  • •Deliver live, unscripted reporting and conversational analysis across NPR newsmagazines, breaking news specials, podcasts, and member station programming.
  • •Partner with desk editors and producers to package reporting for broadcast, digital text, and multimedia platforms while gathering field audio and supporting editorial and audio production under tight deadlines.

Key Requirements
