Key Responsibilities

•Support the preparation of high quality bids and tenders for water science services.
•Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure resources, budgets and controls meet programme and budget requirements.
•Identify, plan and implement complex monitoring and field work (e.g., water quality monitoring, flow gauging, hydromorphological surveys).
•Deliver high-quality water science/hydrology consultancy and advisory services through check and review processes.
•Review data empirically using tools and models to inform management decisions and hydrological conclusions.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as geography, physical sciences, chemistry, maths or engineering
•Experience in hydrology (low flows and flood risk), hydromorphology, water quality and/or hydroecology with a strong understanding of aquatic systems
•Proficiency in applying hydrological software and environmental modelling (hydrological/hydraulic/water quality/water resources)
•Proficiency in GIS software
•Report writing skills and ability to present complex technical information clearly to a wide audience
