Job Summary

Serve as a senior systems engineer for enterprise IT supporting AFATDS operations. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools; monitor infrastructure for performance and high availability; troubleshoot interfaces and application bottlenecks. Contribute to system design enhancements, security/backup and redundancy practices, and provide technical reporting and over-the-shoulder training while supporting field units and joint fires modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, configure, test, and maintain AFATDS operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
•Initialize, configure, and troubleshoot software interfaces.
•Manage and monitor installed systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, resilience, and high availability.
•Maintain system security, backup procedures, and redundancy strategies.
•Support system acceptance and technical systems testing, and provide on-site and remote support for field units implementing AFATDS.

Travel: Low travel
