Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor equipment such as furnaces, kilns, dryers, and adjacent equipment under the direction of a Level B Operator.
  • •Communicate effectively and correctly log production and/or packaging information.
  • •Assist Level C & B Operators in monitoring, troubleshooting, and responding to fusing plant conditions.
  • •Assist in safe monitoring and operation involving dry chemicals (borates), liquids (molten glass, water), and steam.
  • •Operate manual valves, use basic tools safely, perform cleanup, and support maintenance/instrumentation communication as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School diploma or GED; computer literate for maintaining spreadsheets and logs; able to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • •Current and valid state civil driver’s license.
  • •Required equipment operation experience, including furnaces, kilns, dryers, and/or similar equipment and systems.
  • •Experience operating pumps, screens, belt conveyors, elevators, mills, screw conveyors, dust collectors, and furnaces.
  • •Use of basic tools for minor maintenance and plant cleanup.
