Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage VE/CE projects with R&D, manufacturing, sourcing, and commercial teams to define scope, monitor progress, and manage risks.
  • •Prepare test plans to confirm alternative components meet requirements and final product performance matches specifications.
  • •Perform component and product qualification, including change descriptions, test instructions, and user guides/manuals.
  • •Conduct product redesign activities to build domain knowledge for Fire business and implement FIRE standards requirements with regulatory and experienced R&D support.
  • •Support obsolescence/shortage issues with sustaining teams and track design/testing activities (developer, functional, automated, climatic) using HON tools such as JIRA.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent subject.
  • •At least 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, mechanical engineering, and component engineering.
  • •Knowledge of Value Analysis/Value Engineering principles and techniques.
  • •Knowledge of mechanical design and components, including parameters, material specs, and geometric characteristics.
  • •Experience with 3D CAD and simulation tools, plus accelerated life testing, vibration testing, and ingress protection testing and analysis.
