Key Responsibilities

  • •Own lifecycle strategy for assigned commodities, part families, and technologies, including maintaining commodity roadmaps and driving long-term availability and sustainability.
  • •Identify and assess lifecycle risks (e.g., OEM end-of-life, supplier discontinuances, single-source exposure, geopolitical and supply-chain risks) and develop mitigation plans and lifecycle risk dashboards.
  • •Lead proactive obsolescence prevention and forecasting by predicting lifecycle events and constraints, building replacement strategies, and reducing reactive engineering through planned interventions.
  • •Lead selection and qualification of alternate parts and coordinate engineering validation and change execution, including ECR/ECO activities aligned to lifecycle events.
  • •Engage with suppliers and run cross-functional lifecycle governance forums by reviewing supplier roadmaps/notifications, aligning sourcing strategies, and communicating lifecycle status and mitigations to leadership.
