Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead editorial and creative direction for key external media partnerships, including advertising content, research-led collaborations, and original editorial programs.
  • •Develop native-feeling work for the audience and editorial environment, avoiding generic brand messaging.
  • •Turn Stripe’s original data, economic insights, and customer stories into clear, surprising, useful content across formats.
  • •Shape the full editorial process for partnership work: refine briefs, identify strongest ideas, direct creative development, and provide decisive feedback on drafts and deliverables.
  • •Direct and manage agencies, external creators, and editorial partners as needed, and write/edit high-stakes content (blog posts, newsletter segments, podcast scripts, ad copy, social posts, and more).

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of relevant experience in editorial, writing, creative development, journalism, publishing, media, brand strategy, or closely related work.
  • •Exceptional editorial judgment and demonstrated ability to make complicated ideas compelling and audience-worthy.
  • •A strong portfolio of published or public-facing work showing writing, editing, and original thinking.
  • •Experience developing original editorial work, sponsored media, advertising, creative partnerships, or other high-quality audience-facing programs.
  • •Ability to translate complex subjects (technology, business, economics, science, or policy) into accessible work without oversimplifying.
