Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain the approved technology strategy for Qantas commercial and retailing platforms, ensuring alignment with current and future business needs.
  • •Own key technology decisions for long-term delivery while managing technology roadmaps and business priorities.
  • •Evaluate and support solution development for key technology investments in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • •Deliver data and reporting capabilities that turn commercial data into pricing, revenue and merchandising decisions.
  • •Recruit, coach, mentor, and build teams, providing leadership for complex workloads and competing priorities.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years leading technology within airlines, travel, or large multinational organisations with exposure to commercial and operational teams.
  • •Proven track record delivering large, multi-year technology transformation programs end-to-end, including business case through go-live and benefit realisation.
  • •Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, with expectation of postgraduate study in Technology (preferably also business administration).
  • •Deep expertise across airline commercial systems including revenue management, pricing, inventory and distribution, offer and order management, and NDC.
  • •Hands-on experience with airline passenger service systems (PSS) and commercial platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, and Accelya, including reservations, ticketing, revenue management and payments.
