Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee accurate and timely processing of biweekly, weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls for salaried, hourly, tipped, seasonal, and union employees in the U.S. and Canada.
  • •Lead, mentor, and professionally develop a payroll team of 24 while managing performance and goal setting.
  • •Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance procedures, and apply controls to improve departmental processes.
  • •Create and/or process reports to support executive/local management and partner teams such as HR, Benefits, and Risk Management.
  • •Maintain high customer service standards, resolve payroll issues with HR/Accounting, and manage payroll turnaround times for responses and corrections.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 7 years payroll experience and 3 years recent experience as a Payroll Manager in a high-volume environment.
  • •CPP certification required.
  • •Knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, garnishments, payroll tax, and regulatory reporting.
  • •Experience with payroll systems and report writing, including timekeeping and POS/payroll-related systems.
  • •Multi-state experience including California required; Canadian payroll experience preferred.
