Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake Front End Engineering Design (FEED), planning design, and feasibility work for energy storage systems and associated grid connections, controls, and metering.
  • •Develop BESS balance of plant (BOP) systems.
  • •Create grid connection solutions (11kV–400kV) for energy storage and renewables.
  • •Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions on large projects and frameworks.
  • •Provide support and exposure to bidding, project, and quality management; participate in design assurance and site construction review support as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Suitable experience in a FEED designer, detailed design, or owner’s engineer role.
  • •Strong understanding of renewable generation and energy storage, especially battery storage technologies (types and chemistries).
  • •Experience designing HV grid connections, including metering and control requirements for battery storage installations (including collocated BESS).
  • •Knowledge of grid connection requirements (including G99, G100 and grid code) and electrical plant items/control systems (transformers, cables, circuit breakers, HV protection & control).
