Job Summary

Own Column’s Legal Operations function as the team’s first hire, shaping a modern, AI-native operating model for a highly regulated, multi-jurisdictional bank. Build operating cadences, KPIs, and scalable process improvements, while auditing and evolving legal technology (including CLM, e-billing, knowledge management, and AI-assisted workflows). Manage contract lifecycle, intake/triage, and outside counsel/financial operations in partnership with the General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and evolve the legal operating model, including intake SLAs, approval gates, and cross-functional handoffs.
•Own legal technology and AI initiatives: roadmap across intake/workflow, CLM, e-billing, knowledge management, and AI-assisted/agentic workflows.
•Run contract lifecycle and knowledge management, including intake/routing, templates, repository, and documentation retention processes.
•Design and improve legal intake and triage workflows to continuously improve classification, drafting, review, and closure.
•Manage outside counsel operations and legal budget, including billing guideline enforcement and spend reporting with Finance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 180,000 - 235,000 annually
