Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of the Red Hat Linux server estate.
  • •Deliver RHEL 8/9 enterprise implementation and ongoing support, including patching and upgrades.
  • •Perform and automate patching and monitoring activities across the infrastructure estate.
  • •Monitor service management processes for incidents, problems, service requests, and change tasks to meet SLA/KPI requirements.
  • •Support migrations and improve implementation of container platforms and automation toolchains, including on-call and extended-hours rota coverage.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to obtain UK SC clearance.
  • •Hands-on experience administering UNIX and Red Hat (RHEL 8 and RHEL 9) environments.
  • •Experience with OpenShift upgrades, installations, and configuration, ideally including large-scale migrations/deployments.
  • •Experience with automation techniques and toolchains including Ansible, Ansible Tower, and GitLab/Jenkins.
  • •Troubleshooting and performance tuning experience, including knowledge of container monitoring tools and metrics.
