Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with Cisco design teams to enhance memory quality and reliability across Cisco platforms.
  • •Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for memory technologies to investigate next-generation memory solutions.
  • •Assess emerging technologies, architectures, industry roadmaps, and supplier capabilities for feasibility, performance, reliability, quality, and readiness.
  • •Lead investigations and end-to-end failure analysis for components and system issues, working with vendors to define and verify corrective and preventive actions (8D, RCA, etc.).
  • •Influence design and engineering teams to ensure next-generation memory is recommended and integrated into Cisco solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • •8+ years of experience in memory design/application or Field Application Engineering.
  • •Strong knowledge of DRAM ECC methodologies, including Partial Chipkill (PCLS) and Single Device Data Correction (SDDC).
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of DRAM technologies (DDR generations, LPDDRx, and HBM) and their applications in server and networking platforms.
  • •Assess emerging memory technologies, architectures, and industry roadmaps to guide design decisions and ensure future readiness.
