Key Responsibilities

  • •Inspect and diagnose GSE and MHE during turn-in processing, including preventive and corrective maintenance per Army standards and applicable TMs.
  • •Repair and service mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for equipment such as generators, air compressors, jacks, forklifts, and specialized support tools.
  • •Troubleshoot faults using Army-approved diagnostic tools, replace components as needed, and prepare equipment for serviceable state when authorized.
  • •Record maintenance and inspection results using DA Form 2404/5988-E and Army systems such as GCSS-Army; update condition codes and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • •Adhere to OSHA/Army/company safety policies and safely handle fuels, lubricants, batteries, and hazardous materials during maintenance operations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical certification in mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred.
  • •3–5 years of hands-on experience in GSE or MHE maintenance (Army or contractor environment preferred).
  • •Familiarity with Army maintenance standards, technical manuals (TMs), and property accountability requirements.
  • •Preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) for GSE/MHE, including condition code classification and Army supply documentation.
  • •Must have a Real ID, a valid driver’s license, and be able to travel within the US if required; selected candidate must bring/use their own tools.
