Job Summary

Build the hiring engine from scratch and own end-to-end recruiting across all teams. Create an employer brand and the operating rhythm that scales hiring, including processes, analytics, and workflows. Partner with founders and team leads to define excellence, sharpen talent planning, calibrate hiring decisions, and improve the people system as the company grows—covering onboarding, development, performance, retention, and compensation benchmarking. Lead network-building across the DACH startup and technical talent ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and own the full hiring engine: lead recruiting end-to-end from role definition and sourcing through closing candidates
•Make Mercura a talent magnet by building an employer brand for top talent across DACH and beyond
•Scale the recruiting machine by creating processes, analytics, workflows, and the operating rhythm behind hiring
•Act as a sparring partner to founders and team leads to define what great looks like, calibrate hiring decisions, and challenge org design
•Shape the people system as the company scales, including onboarding, development, performance calibrations, feedback rhythm, career progression, and compensation benchmarking

Key Requirements

•2–5 years of experience with meaningful time in Talent, Performance, or org development in a high-growth environment such as a startup or scaleup
•A very high bar for evaluating great people, with the confidence not to lower standards

•Strong storytelling and relationship-building skills for convincing candidates and building long-term networks
•Daily use of AI tools and curiosity to experiment with new workflows
