Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive inbound SKUs from the Warehouse and perform quality control inspections to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • •Work with the Warehouse team to achieve quality targets; conduct regular inspections on packaged products and lot codes.
  • •Respond to quality and/or BBD issues on production lines and address out-of-spec findings through Deviation, Corrective Action & Preventative Measures and Product Holds procedures.
  • •Perform quality assurance inspections for finished product, raw materials, water, and cleaning & sanitation; conduct GMP audits and pre-operational inspections.
  • •Lead ingredient sorting and support troubleshooting with management teams, including environmental monitoring (environmental sampling & ATP swabbing) and water samples sent to accredited laboratories.

Key Requirements

  • •Post-secondary education in Biological, Chemical or Food Sciences diploma.
  • •6 Months to 1 year experience working in QC/QA in a food processing, manufacturing or service industry.
  • •Willing and able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs and work standing for prolonged periods with regular bending, twisting and walking.
  • •Understanding of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations and GFSI schemes.
  • •Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written) and be familiar with MS Office and Google Apps.
