Key Responsibilities

  • •Support cloud security for complex environments with a strong client focus within Managed Services.
  • •Apply Australian Government information assurance requirements and security frameworks to delivery.
  • •Manage security infrastructure components such as firewalls, IPSs, WAFs, endpoint protection, SIEM, and related log management.
  • •Coordinate incident response activities including investigation and remediation while using threat intelligence to defend against emerging threats.
  • •Provide technical expertise to projects and business areas and explain security issues to stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional experience in security engineering and support of robust security frameworks in complex ICT environments.
  • •Knowledge of Australian Government information assurance requirements, including the Information Security Manual (ISM), NIST CSF2.0 and Essential 8 ML2.
  • •Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure security tooling including Microsoft Sentinel and the Microsoft Defender suite.
  • •Experience with incident response, threat hunting, and log management/analysis, including reviewing security vulnerabilities.
  • •Ability to work within IT governance frameworks and communicate security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
