Key Responsibilities

  • •Design roadway, traffic, and drainage elements for alternative delivery and design/build transportation projects
  • •Produce highway improvement design packages and roadway calculations (e.g., superelevation, stopping sight distance, acceleration/deceleration lanes)
  • •Create traffic control plan elements including cross sections, typical cross sections, profiles, temporary signing, and pavement markings
  • •Develop traffic deliverables such as signing/pavement marking design and traffic signal design for interstate and complex interchange projects
  • •Execute highway drainage design work including storm drain design, culvert analysis/design, hydrology, ditch design, and stormwater quantity control

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Engineering plus 2 years of related experience (junior level) or demonstrated equivalency
  • •BS in Engineering plus 6 years of related experience (mid-level) or demonstrated equivalency
  • •BS in Engineering plus 10 years of related experience (senior level / task leads) or demonstrated equivalency
  • •BS degree (or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience) for Roadway, Traffic and Drainage CAD Designers
  • •Preferred: EIT Certification or PE License
