Key Responsibilities

  • •Work in production under the shift supervisor in a quick and safe manner.
  • •Collaborate with other departments and teams.
  • •Spot defects in the packing line and monitor/report quality of manufactured product.
  • •Learn to set up new jobs and train on other lines and in other departments.
  • •Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; perform duties assigned by the supervisor/manager and support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
  • •Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed and perform repetitive duties (including standing for long periods and going up/down stairs).
  • •Previously held a Forklift Certification and can safely operate a forklift.
  • •Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
  • •Must be willing and flexible to work overtime when needed and have excellent attendance.
