Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • •Nationally Certified Bridge Inspector (NCBI) certification (FHWA approved training course or PennDOT equivalent); certification must be current.
  • •Certified Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI) through PennDOT; certification must be current.
  • •5 to 10 years of experience in bridge, tunnel or ancillary inspection or design or other infrastructure related work.
  • •Physically capable of continuous field work (including heights, carrying gear, adverse weather, and working at night).
