Job Summary

Own board-level mechanical design for AMD AI and HPC platforms, defining and integrating mechanical features for complex, high-performance boards. Review board and system designs to identify and resolve issues, including mechanical specs and 2D drawings. Collaborate across hardware, system mechanical, thermal, electrical, and manufacturing teams to align integration needs, ensure manufacturability, and support prototype bring-up and validation.

Key Responsibilities

•Review board-level and system-level designs to identify potential issues and recommend resolutions based on case studies and analyses.
•Review mechanical specs and 2D drawings, and own the mechanical definition of complex PCB designs (board outline, mounting scheme, connector/component placement constraints, keep-out requirements).
•Work with system engineers to review cable design and ensure alignment between board design and system-level integration.
•Partner with thermal engineering to support cooling solutions, including placement and mechanical integration of heat sinks, cold plates, and related mounting structures.
•Collaborate with electrical, fabrication, assembly, and reliability teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and support bring-up and validation by diagnosing mechanical integration or reliability issues.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: TWD 1,895,530 - 2,707,900 annually

Key Requirements

•7–12 years of comparable experience doing server design.
•Experience with CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, or similar) for mechanical design and layout.
•Ability to work effectively across disciplines including electrical, thermal, manufacturing, and reliability teams.
•Experience performing finite element (FE) simulations and related testing from concept evaluations to functional verification.
•Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and ability to drive tasks to completion independently.
