Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor commercial performance for cost, incentivisation provisions, defined cost vs target, payment and KPIs using dashboards and trend analysis; visit site routinely to identify and escalate emerging commercial risks with recovery actions.
  • •Commercial assurance of change control by ensuring scope definition, pricing method, risk allowances, approvals and audit trail are followed; assess changes for compliance and value for money before commitment.
  • •Plan and implement close-out and rolling final account settlement for projects.
  • •Support risk (threat & opportunity) management by reviewing quantified impact and reporting net effects to scheme forecast.
  • •Provide clean, timely datasets (cost, change, risk, carbon, life cycle) to the Data team to enable benchmarks and analytics.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience in commercial management within construction of major programmes and projects
  • •Strong knowledge of construction contracts (NEC and/or JCT preferred)
  • •Excellent cost control, reporting, and collaboration skills
  • •Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or related field; professional membership (or working towards) RICS, CIOB, or equivalent
  • •Desirable experience with public-sector healthcare clients and working in live healthcare environments
