Job Summary

Lead on-site execution for the RDO MLE Project’s construction scope, reporting to the Construction Manager and driving safe, high-quality progress. Oversee service provider and Teck-managed work with a focus on Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical Infrastructure, coordinating schedules, HSEC plans, quality plans, risk assessments, and interface management. Support design and constructability reviews while ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project execution strategy.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as an on-site construction leader to deliver the construction scope in line with the construction execution strategy and construction management plan.
•Sponsor Teck values and embed a robust HSEC program, establishing a safe, respectful, and environmentally responsible worksite.
•Oversee CM service provider activities and direct corrective actions to keep work aligned to construction management, quality management, and contractual requirements.
•Plan and implement construction set-up activities, monitor performance, report progress/cost/schedule, and forecast updates as the work evolves.
•Lead site safety/security procedures and coordinate with operations on interface management, permit-to-work, and commissioning/start-up and demobilization planning.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is desirable but not required.
•At least 10 years of experience constructing major greenfield projects in the resource industry, with an extensive background in civil, mechanical, and electrical construction.
•Experience installing Underground Mining Infrastructure is an advantage.
•Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
•Hands-on leadership with a respectful, positive, solution-focused attitude.
