Lead Root’s State Management Operations team to drive market-level rating rules, underwriting guidelines, and state filing execution for consumer auto insurance. Key Responsibilities

•Lead state filing operations: build, manage, and develop the team responsible for drafting, maintaining, and submitting rating rules, underwriting guidelines, forms, and state-specific filing materials.
•Drive operational excellence with disciplined operating rhythms, milestone plans, dependency tracking, and risk identification across revisions and implementations.
•Oversee filing submission execution via online filing submission systems, ensuring complete, aligned, and accurately documented filing packages.
•Coordinate cross-functional delivery across State Management, Actuarial, Product, Legal, Compliance, Underwriting, and partner teams to meet shared execution timelines.
•Lead objection response operations by owning intake, triage, routing, tracking, and follow-up for Department of Insurance objections and ensuring timely expert responses and submissions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 121,000 - 151,300

Key Requirements

•7+ years of experience in personal lines insurance, underwriting, regulatory filings, compliance operations, insurance operations, or a closely related field.
•Prior people leadership experience strongly preferred.
•Experience leading complex, cross-functional operational work with multiple dependencies and time-sensitive deliverables.
•Working knowledge of rating rules, underwriting guidelines, insurance forms, SERFF (or similar), and the regulatory filing lifecycle for personal auto or other P&C products.
•Ability to read and interpret state-specific regulatory requirements and objections, and translate them into practical filing execution plans.
