Key Responsibilities

  • •Characterize semiconductor device behavior for new technologies and ensure model outputs are robust and accurate.
  • •Generate and update device models for new process technologies to support co-optimization efforts.
  • •Use extraction and simulation workflows to validate compact and corner/statistical/sub-circuit models and their interactions.
  • •Apply device physics and layout-effects knowledge to build models that reflect real-world behavior.
  • •Work effectively in a Cadence design environment, including schematic capture, analog design setup, Virtuoso layout, and DRC/LVS/layout extraction activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related) with 3+ years of semiconductor industry experience, or PhD with 1+ year of industry/research experience focused on semiconductor devices or processes.
  • •Hands-on programming experience in Python or C and Shell.
  • •Experience or coursework in semiconductor device physics, process flow, layout, and simple circuit design and simulation.
  • •Experience with compact models/BSIM models, extraction tools (ICCAP or MBP), and commercially available simulators (e.g., HSPICE, SPECTRE).
  • •Ability to work independently after initial ramp-up and contribute to accurate model simulation and characterization workflows.
