Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute independent, risk-based quality assurance reviews and sampling across KYC Operations, assessing CDD, ADD, and pre-EDD processes for compliance.
  • •Review customer due diligence, risk assessments, and documentation to ensure decisions are evidenced and EDD is triggered where required.
  • •Document QA outcomes, identify defects, control gaps, process weaknesses, and regulatory risks, and escalate findings via governance procedures.
  • •Analyze QA results and operational data to identify trends, emerging risks, root causes, and opportunities to strengthen controls.
  • •Prepare QA reporting (dashboards and management information) and support remediation by tracking findings and validating corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •2–4 years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance, Quality Assurance, Operational Risk Management, or a related financial services function.
  • •Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and Financial Crime regulatory requirements across UK and international jurisdictions.
  • •Knowledge of UK Money Laundering Regulations, FCA expectations, and FATF guidance for AML.
  • •Experience supporting merchant services, including merchant onboarding, refresh, Additional Due Diligence (ADD), and ongoing KYC processes.
  • •Proficiency reviewing customer files against policy/regulatory requirements, identifying control gaps, documenting findings, and using risk-based sampling for QA reviews.
