Job Summary

Support and work with experienced underwriters in reviewing risks, quoting policies, and servicing new business, renewals, and endorsements for basic to moderately complex domestic casualty products. This hybrid role reports to North American offices (Denver/LA/SF) with a focus on risk analysis, policy construction, and customer service within Zurich North America’s underwriting team.

Key Responsibilities

•Review, evaluate, and summarize risk exposures, controls, loss history, and financial condition to aid underwriting decisions around submission acceptance or declination.
•Follow instructions from Underwriters in areas of policy rating, pricing, policy construction, coverages and exclusions, and mandatory forms to accurately quote and issue policies.
•Provide end-to-end servicing support for new business, renewals, and endorsements for basic to moderately complex products.
•Respond to written and verbal inquiries in a timely manner under supervision by Underwriter/Manager, collaborating with assigned underwriters.
•Support Underwriter with broker/agent/distributor/customer interactions by providing basic customer service skills.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 23.8 - 38.94 hourly

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree and no prior experience in Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area
•High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of experience in Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area AND knowledge of data collection and analysis
•Microsoft Office experience
•Knowledge of data collection and analysis
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
