Key Responsibilities

  • •Underwriting Leadership: Lead and manage the Property line of business within the Commercial Insurance division, ensuring best practices in risk assessment, pricing, and portfolio management.
  • •Strategy & Business Development: Develop and implement underwriting strategies that support business growth, profitability, and market expansion in the middle market and large corporate segments for Property.
  • •Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage the performance of Commercial Insurance Property portfolio, analyzing trends, exposures, and profitability to inform decision-making.
  • •Risk Assessment: Oversee complex risk evaluations, set underwriting standards, and approve large or unusual risks within delegated authority.
  • •Client & Broker Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and key clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored insurance solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • •Significant experience in property insurance underwriting, particularly for the middle market and large corporate customer segment, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
  • •Strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk analysis, and portfolio management.
  • •Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • •Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
