Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems (including engines, transmissions, steering, brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, and HVAC).
  • •Inspect/test/listen to defective equipment and use road tests and test instruments to diagnose malfunctions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain company service vehicle with safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work by completing DOT forms and repair orders, uploading pictures of work/parts/findings, and communicating with management/support for approvals and purchase order numbers.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination of education/certification and experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Must successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older and have a valid driver’s license; be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.
