Job Summary

Oversee mechanical engineering workstreams for Buildings & Places (B&P) construction supervision, ensuring HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems are installed, tested, and commissioned to specification. Conduct inspections and walk-downs, review and approve mechanical design and shop drawings, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and contractors, and maintain site reports, as-built documentation, and quantity surveys while managing compliance, risks, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
•Perform walk-downs, inspections, and site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, standards, and safety regulations.
•Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, including review/approval of mechanical drawings and material submittals.
•Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems and ensure timely execution with contractors and subcontractors.
•Prepare site reports, inspection records, progress updates, quantity surveys, and ensure accurate as-built drawings and handover deliverables.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
•10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 5+ years in construction supervision for B&P projects.
•Proficiency with mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM tools.
•Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building codes, and construction methodologies.
•Knowledge of international standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, and LEED (plus).
