Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using test instruments and road tests.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain the service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work and complete DOT forms on time, including uploading repair order details and photos using a company-issued iOS device and TRAIT app.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination with certifications/experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical requirements; current valid DOT medical card may substitute if it has more than four months remaining.
  • •Be at least 21 years old, with a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
