Job Summary

Support Fortinet’s Public Sector (PAC/Defence) team by leading technical activities across the sales cycle for defence, national security, and government-aligned organizations. Coordinate proof of concept (PoC) efforts in sensitive and classified environments, act as the primary technical point of contact with customers and partners, and architect high-assurance solutions. Deliver technical presentations and deep dives, maintain product and threat knowledge, and document opportunities accurately in Salesforce.

Job Function: IT Operations (Systems/Network Admin)

Key Responsibilities

•Lead all technical aspects of the sales cycle for Defence, national security, and government-aligned organizations, including responding to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
•Manage and coordinate Proof of Concept (PoC) activities, ensuring alignment with strict security, accreditation, and operational requirements.
•Serve as the primary technical point of contact for PAC/Defence customers and partners, partnering with sales to support account strategy and mission outcomes.
•Develop customer understanding of secure communications, classified networks, cross-domain solutions, and compliance frameworks relevant to Defence and national security.
•Architect, present, and document Fortinet solutions for high-assurance environments, and maintain up-to-date product and threat landscape knowledge.

Key Requirements

•Strong technical aptitude in cybersecurity technologies such as encryption, authentication, network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, and LAN/WAN.
•Experience in a pre-sales engineering role, ideally supporting Defence, national security, government, or other regulated sectors.
•Understanding of secure architectures, classified environments, air-gapped networks, or Defence-specific security requirements.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to demonstrate contributions to key wins in complex or competitive technical engagements.
•Knowledge of industry certifications such as CISSP (plus), with Defence-specific or high-assurance certifications advantageous.
